The City of Mount Gambier Junior Sports Assistance Fund is pleased to advise that the Rotary Club of Mount Gambier Lakes has provided a $3,000 donation to the Youth Empowerment Sports Program for 2025.
“The club’s wish is to donate part of the proceeds from the event to assist junior sportspersons who may be restricted for a variety of reasons, with funding to enable them to participate in their chosen sport,” City of Mount Gambier Junior Sports Assistance Fund Presiding Member Cr Josh Lynagh said.
“It was agreed with the Mount Gambier Lakes Rotary that the Junior Sports Fund Committee would provide the confidential administration process for the Youth Empowerment Sports Program to identify worthy recipients from our member organisations who could receive financial assistance".
The Youth Empowerment Sports program provides assistance to juniors who have a desire to participate in their chosen sport, but may be restricted in achieving their goals.
At its meeting on 4 December 2024, the Junior Sports Assistance Fund considered applications to utilise the remaining funds from the 2024 funding round.
