Former Bachelor star Matt Agnew, known as the handsome ‘space nerd’ is adding Mount Gambier to his Australian tour to launch his book ‘Dr Matt’s Guide to Life in Space’ on Wednesday 16 November 2022 at 7:00pm at The Riddoch Arts and Cultural Centre.
Australia fell in love with Dr Matt in 2019 when he debuted as the lovely bubbly, engaging, and unapologetically nerdy Bachelor. With a PhD in Astrophysics, Masters Degree in Artificial Intelligence, a Bachelors Degree in Engineering, and a vast knowledge of our solar system and the galaxies beyond, Dr Matt uses his debut book Dr Matt’s Guide to Life in Space to take readers on an exploratory journey into the beyond.
“This will be a fabulous event for anyone with a curious mind”, said Acting Manager Library and Community Development Kristi Brooks.
Dr Matt uses creative thinking to solve problems and to advance and evolve ideas. He is already well known as a communications powerhouse that helps makes science fun and accessible for everyone. Acting Manager Library and Community Development Kristi Brooks.
Dr Matt will take the audience through a fun, information-packed and fascinating look at life in space, answering some questions you can’t stop thinking about: How did we get here? What makes the Earth so special? And where are the aliens?
Endorsed by Dr Karl Kruszelnicki alongside other science professionals, Dr Matt’s Guide to Life in Space has been hailed a fascinating read making the cosmically complex not just understandable but fun.
Books will be available for sale and signing on the night with tickets $5.00 for adults, free for under 18 year old’s and available from the Mount Gambier Library until sold out. Tickets are issued upon payment in person at the Library or over the phone at 8721 2540.
