Draft 2024-2028 Strategic Plan

The draft 2024-2028 City of Mount Gambier Strategic Plan is now open for community feedback following Council endorsement at the October 2024 meeting. The draft plan has been informed by the aspirations, priorities and values articulated in the Community Vision – Mount Gambier 2035 and will guide Council’s work over the next four years. Beacon Art Project - Mythical Megafauna Creature

Visitor servicing model update – Umpherston Sinkhole/Balumbul

City of Mount Gambier is now offering visitor servicing from the Umpherston Sinkhole/Balumbul building, further implementing the new ‘hub and spoke’ model. Occupation of the site follows the retirement of the previous operator at the end of the lease period and successful activation of Engelbrecht Cave in July 2024. Read full article

Kerbside bin audit conducted

A recent kerbside bin audit undertaken by Rawtec and Dynamic 3E on behalf of the City of Mount Gambier identified that more than half the general waste stream could be diverted away from landfill with food organics making up 27 per cent of the average residential general waste bin.
