​City of Mount Gambier is turning the lights off at prominent locations on Saturday 28 March 2020 as part of the global conservation movement, Earth Hour. Lights at Centenary Tower, City Hall, Lady Nelson Brig, Library, Main Corner and Vansittart Park will be switched off for one hour between 8:30pm and 9:30pm ​as part of one of the largest global grassroots movements for the environment​. ​The Riddoch and Main Corner Complex will welcome ACMI, the Australian Centre for Moving Image to Mount Gambier with world premiere exhibition, Cleverman. The exhibition celebrates the award-winning ABC indigenous superhero television series of the same name. Read full article

City of Mount Gambier has partnered with Limestone Coast Pantry to continue operation of the Bookmark Café, located within the Mount Gambier Library. Council resolved to enter into a service agreement with the local business at its February 2020 meeting, following an expression of interest process resulting from the retirement of the previous operator.
