The City of Mount Gambier Junior Sports Assistance Fund congratulates Basketball Mount Gambier juniors Oliver Thomson, Emily Dawe and Sarah Nulty on their selection in the State Country U/16 Boys and Girls teams to attend the 2018 U/16 Australian National Basketball Championships to be held on the Sunshine Coast later this month.
The City of Mount Gambier Junior Sports Assistance Fund made a donation of $1,050 ($350 each) to help Oliver, Emily and Sarah participate in these events.
"The fund is pleased to make this donation to the promising juniors to assist them to continue to achieve excellence and to be able to compete at a state wide level to gain valuable experience," Junior Sports Assistance Fund Secretary Barbara Cernovskis said.
The City of Mount Gambier Junior Sports Assistance Fund is a joint initiative of the City of Mount Gambier, the District Council of Grant and local affiliated sporting organisations to assist local junior sports people.
