Tertiary Education

The University of South Australia established a campus in Mount Gambier in 2005.

In 2016 a new purpose-built world class learning centre was opened adjacent to TAFE SA on Wireless Road West.

UniSA Mount Gambier is proud to be the Limestone Coast and South West Victoria’s university, with around 350 students calling the Mount Gambier campus their home campus, including online students who can access the benefits of having a campus locally.

The campus offers degrees in critical areas such as health, education and social work, reflecting in-demand areas in the region and beyond. UniSA offers a wide range of business degrees, with the Mount Gambier campus providing on-campus tutorial support for business students. A range of pathway programs providing alternative entry into university study can also be studied locally.

UniSA is committed to the region and has a crucial role in supporting some of South Australia’s and South West Victoria’s most important industries – from wine and tourism to forestry – and its growing population.

The Mount Gambier campus is home to the Forestry Centre of Excellence, a partnership between UniSA, government and industry.
